Panorama Point

The sunrise point offers a 360-degree panoramic view of scenic peaks, lake, valley and clouds besides being an ideal point for majestic view sunrise and sunset.  An amazing place for adventurers as one has to trek to reach there. Transportation facilities are also available to go there. The picturesque view of hills and beautiful Ulhas River from the top point will make the trip more memorable.

The most distinctive feature of this hill is that it has only one tree growing at its top. What makes this place more special is the view of the dense forests surrounding the hill from its top point. Also at the downhill from the One Tree Hill, one must trek at Shivaji Ladder which will make the experience more thrilling.

Echo Point

As the name suggests, the place is very famous for its excellent echo and reverberations effect that it produces. Plus, the natural beauty of this place will make the journey just more mesmerizing. The place is covered with green grass. Besides that, this place is a paradise for food lovers. The place has few stalls famous for the local Maharashtrian food.

Charlotte Lake

Also known as Sharlott lake, this spectacular lake is located very near to the market area. The beauty of the lake and its surroundings attract many people towards it. Pisharnath Mahadev Mandir, a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is located at the lake. An ideal place for bird-watching, camping and picnic plans.

Monkey Point

As the name suggests, one can find a number of different species of monkeys at this point. The place has a great amount of Flora and Fauna. Echoing is also possible if we scream while facing the Hart Cliff. The place is also famous for beautiful sunsets. A visit to this place would definitely be a unique experience for everyone.

Louisa Point

The point provides one of the best views of the city. One can visit here to see Prabal and Vishalgad Fort. Besides this, one can also go to nearby lion’s head. The waterfall that runs off from the Charlotte Lake can also be seen from here.

Ambarnath Temple

This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and was built over 1000 years back. What makes it special is its similitude with the Dilwara Temples in Mount Abu. People from different places come to this temple during the festival of Mahashivratri as it is celebrated with great zeal.

Porcupine Point

This point offers one of the beautiful views for travellers. It is near to the market. People usually visit this point during the evenings to view the sunset and also to visit the Prabalgad Fort which is located near to this point. One can also witness waterfalls during the rainy season.

Mount Barry

The highest altitude hill in Matheran provides an eye-catching view of the birds of the western ghats, the waterfalls and also the heritage Neral Matheran Toy Train. One can also enjoy the exhilarating views of the Western Ghats. An amazing spot for trekking, picnic and lots more.

Dhodani Waterfalls
