Sikharji is one of the popular pilgrimage sites for Jains, located on the highest mountain of Jharkhand, named as Paransnath Hill. It is in the Giridih district of Jharkhand and an inland part of rural east India. It is located at an approx 4500 feet above the sea level and is mostly visited by the devotees especially from November to April. It was believed that twenty-seven Jain Tirthankaras has attained moksha along with other several monks at this place and it makes one of the holy sites for Jain Tirthas.
